Good Moral CharacterApplicant must submit the appropriate fee and a completed and signed Experience Rating Form (ERF) with signature of chapter officer or State Director and two letters of recommendation 
Membership StandingMust be a current Member in Good Standing 
Standards and Ethics Applicant must submit proof of completion of the 15 hour National USPAP course and must complete ERF with signature agreeing to abide by the ASA Code of Ethics.
Required Course WorkMust meet the current AQB requirements for Certified Residential. If applicant is a current Certified Residential Appraiser required course work is considered to have been met.
Comprehensive Exam An applicant must pass either the AQB National Uniform Licensing and Certification Examinations-Residential or the ASA comprehensive exam. An applicant that is currently State Certified Residential is considered to have met this requirement. 
College Degree Requirement

Applicant must meet the current Certified Residential AQB requirements. Applicant that is State Certified Residential has met this requirement.

Appraisal ExperienceProvide evidence of 3,000 hours of residential appraisal experience, obtained over at least 3 years. Applicant to provide evidence of acceptable competence in performing residential appraisals in the normal course of business. Applicant to submit list of residential appraisals completed over the prior six months.
Demonstration Report Submit a Demonstration Self-Contained Appraisal Report or an Expanded Form Report, of a single family or one to four unit residential property, subject to the requirements and grading criteria set forth by the Admissions Committee. This report must be submitted in a portable document format (PDF).
